Welcome! I’m Alexandra Tyler, LCSW. If you are looking for a therapist, you're probably in pain, confusion, and/or distress and you're looking for someone to listen AND to help you change your life! I understand that.

That's why I am not a passive, “sounding board” kind of therapist. I get right to work helping you figure out what you want to change or improve.

What feelings/thoughts/behaviors do you want to change? What are the obstacles that have kept you from being able to make these changes before now?

Then, we do active work, both in session, and in homework assignments. My approach is scientifically based and I focus on building a strong, trusting, caring relationship with clients, helping to empower clients to change their environments and self concepts, to build and utilize their strengths, and heal past damage that's limiting their lives in the present.

I specialize in treating trauma, depression, anxiety and relationship communication.

I provide a supportive environment for clients in alternative sexual/relationship communities such as the LGBTQQAI+, polyamorous, kink, BDSM, swinger communities and people who do sex-work and adult film work. I take Medicare and HSA cards. Otherwise I am a direct-pay clinician. For my hourly rate, please refer to my website under the "my fees" tab.
