My personal background lends itself to my therapeutic stance, and showcases what type of clinician I am. My mother is a conservative, Christian living in Yakima, Washington, and my father is a gay, liberal, equal rights activist in Seattle. Growing up, I split my time going back and forth between these wildly different groups, learning all the while. Because of my experience, I see my self as a facilitator and educator in a world that has enough space for every point of view and every lifestyle. I love being a therapist, because I get to work with clients as they build the lives and relationships they've always wanted.
