Hello,
I’m Heather. I use she/her pronouns. I’m a sexuality educator, and a licensed clinical social worker. I have nearly a decade of experience working with queer (LGBTQQIA2+) folks, the BDSM and kink community, and non-monogamous folks, and issues around sex. I am a therapist in private practice, and the fabulous therapists who work with me share similar areas of competence.
If you’re reading this, you are probably at a crucial moment. Maybe you’re having an exceptionally difficult time right now. Maybe you’ve finally cleared a space in your life to care for a part of yourself that’s been hidden/ignored. Or maybe it’s time for a relationship or self “check in” or “tune-up.”
Whatever the reason, you’ve made it this far – meaning you’ve already done half the work! Grant yourself some credit, take a deep, cleansing breath, and read on to see if we might be a good match.
If you’ve been looking for a therapist to discuss sexuality with, I might be a good fit for you. I am a certified sex educator, and I’m nearly impossible to shock or scandalize.
If you’re exploring your gender; if a loved one has recently come out to you as transgender and you are looking for support; if you need a clearance letter for gender affirmation surgery, I might be a good fit for you. I have extensive training and experience in working with transgender folks.
Or maybe you want support and strategy around life stress, mental health, relationship challenges, etc. – and you want someone who won’t judge your relationship, gender identity, orientation, or sexual practices in the process. In that case, I also might be a good fit for you. I have been working with queer, kinky, and polyamorous clients since 2012. Since 2014, I’ve been training other therapists on how to support folks whose gender, sexuality and relationships don’t fit society’s norms.
Here are some of the services I offer:
