Jamye Waxman, MEd, MA, Marriage and Family Therapist Registered Intern (IMF94314)
I'm a sex positive Marriage and Family Therapist Registered Intern (94314 California). I am a compassionate, understanding & attuned therapist who also has vast experience as a Sexuality Educator.
I love doing sex education, but because I wanted to learn the tools to develop a deeper working relationship with individuals and couples, I went back to school to obtain a degree in Counseling Psychology. I’m really good at working with people who are working through challenges of sexual/gender identity, relationships, addiction, parenting, panic, anxiety & early attachment as well as those experiencing an existential crisis. I am extremely comfortable working with clients in the LGBTQI, sex work, kink and non-monogamy communities.
I practice an interpersonal and integrative approach that encompasses a humanistic, psychodynamic and feminist approach to healing. My goal is to help you find your authentic voice in your relationships with self and others. I understand that life is a journey, not a destination, and that sexuality and relationships are continuously shifting throughout our lives.
In addition to being a therapist, I am completing a PhD in Human Sexuality Education. I'm also SFSI (San Francisco Sex Information) trained and a writer and lecturer.
