Samantha Armer, LCSW
I am a clinical social worker who received an MSW from University of Albany's School of Social Welfare. Earlier graduate work was a Master of Psychology, concentrating in Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition I completed a certificate training for working with victims of assault to enhance my knowledge of trauma and its effects.
My areas of specialty include: LGBTQ populations, alternative family structures (specifically poly arrangements), kink, sexuality, gender identity, grief, and trauma.
Working from family systems perspective that is informed by feminist & queer theory and cultural humility, I like to view you from holistic perspective, paying attention to the whole of your identity. My goal is form a collaborative relationship to increase self-awareness, recognize strengths, and create achievable goals.
